Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to submit original research articles, review papers, or conceptual papers that fall within the scope of BILLED (Bangil Islamic Language, Linguistics, and Education Journal). All manuscripts must adhere to the following guidelines:

  1. General Requirements
  • Manuscripts must be written in English.
  • The article should be between 5,000–7,500 words, including tables, figures, and references.
  • Submissions must be original, have not been published previously, and are not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
  • The manuscript should be submitted through the journal’s online submission system.
  1. Manuscript Format
  • File format: Microsoft Word (.docx).
  • Paper size: A4 (21 x 29.7 cm).
  • Margins: Top 3 cm, Bottom 2.5 cm, Left 3 cm, Right 2.5 cm.
  • Font: Times New Roman, size 12, 1.5 spacing.
  • Articles should be organized into the following sections:
    1. Title: Concise and informative (maximum 14 words).
    2. Author(s) Information: Full name(s), affiliation(s), and email address of the corresponding author.
    3. Abstract: 150–250 words, followed by 3–5 keywords.
    4. Introduction: Background, research gap, purpose, and significance of the study.
    5. Literature Review and Theoretical Framework (if applicable).
    6. Methodology: Research design, participants, instruments, and procedures.
    7. Results and Discussion: Findings supported by analysis, figures, or tables.
    8. Conclusion: Summary, implications, and suggestions for future research.
    9. Acknowledgments (if necessary).
    10. References: Only include works cited in the text.
  1. Tables and Figures
  • Tables and figures must be placed within the text, not at the end of the manuscript.
  • Each table and figure must be numbered consecutively and provided with a clear title and source (if applicable).
  1. Citation and References
  • Citation style: APA 7th Edition.
  • In-text citations should follow the author-date format, e.g.:
    • One author: (Smith, 2020)
    • Two authors: (Brown & Green, 2021)
    • Three or more authors: (Johnson et al., 2022)

  1. Review Process
  • Every submitted manuscript will undergo an initial editorial review and double-blind peer review by at least two reviewers.
  • Authors may be required to revise their manuscripts based on reviewers’ feedback.
