AMALIYYA Journal of Community Empowerment and Development is a national journal that is published twice a year and involves experts as editors. AMALIYYA is issued and published in print and online by the Institution of Research and Community Service (LP2M) Islamic College (STAI) Pancawahana Bangil. This statement emphasizes the ethics of writing for authors, implementing reviewers, expert reviewers, expert editors, and publishers as well as all parties involved in publishing AMALIYYA. The basis of affirming the statement refers to the COPE’s Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors.
Publishing Ethics Guidelines
The publication of all articles in AMALIYYA is an important part of the process of developing knowledge, especially in the field of strengthening and mentoring practices or community empowerment. This is a real picture of the commitment, dedication, and quality of the authors and the institutions that support them. The whole article issued and published by <AMALIYYA referring to scientific standards and methods. Therefore, standards of ethical behavior become the basis and guidelines that bind the authors, implementing reviewer, expert reviewers, expert editors, publishers, and the public as well as multi-stakeholders involved in publishing and publication.
All stages up to publication are carried out seriously and measurably by acknowledging ethical responsibilities under the supervision and monitoring of the Institution of Research and Community Development (LP2M) of the Islamic College (STAI) Pancawahana Bangil as the publisher. LP2M has committed and dedicated to ensuring that reprint advertising and other commercial revenues do not influence on editorial decision making. LP2M is also committed to communicating with journal managers and other publishers, if it considers important and necessary.
Publishing Decision
AMALIYYA reviewers are fully accountable to decide whether an article will be published or not. Decision-making is influenced by verification, validation, and urgency of science development in the areas of empowering, strengthening, and mentoring communities as well as authors and readers. Therefore, reviewers are always guided by the policies of the journal's editorial board and controlled by legal provisions, such as those related to defamation, plagiarism, and copyright infringement. Reviewers can also discuss with other reviewers and the assessment team in the decision-making process to accept or reject an article.
Fair Treatment
The editors of AMALIYYA consistently evaluate manuscripts based on the quality without making any distinctions on the basis of the author's paradigm of thought, religion, race, ethnicity, gender, or nationality.
Confidentiality
The reviewers of AMMALIYA are not allowed to share any information related to approved manuscripts other than the authors, expert editors, and publishers.
Notices and Conflicts of Interest
Manuscripts submitted to the manager of AMALIYYA that are not published may not be used by the manager for personal benefit without written authorization from the authors.
Responsibilities of the Assessment Team
Contribution to Editorial Decisions
The judgment of expert reviewers is the primary factor taken into consideration by reviewers when making editorial decisions, and each author can consult the reviewers in the process of improving his writing.
Speed
The reviewers who are selected must inform the other reviewers and withdraw from the assessment process if they are unable to complete the assessment on time or they do not meet the qualifications to evaluate the manuscript.
Standard of Objectivity
Personal criticism is not justified because the entire assessment procedure is conducted objectively. The reviewers must convey their views obviously and refer to the relevant scientific basis
Source Acknowledgment
The reviewers of manuscripts in the AMALIYYA journal are required identify sources that are relevant to the content of the manuscript but they have not been cited by the author. The reviewer also ensures that each substance of the manuscript that refers to interviews, observations, relevant literature, and others must include the source explicitly and refer to the citation guideline established by the journal manager. The reviewers should also ask the editor to compare the similarity between the manuscript being assessed with other publications and published works.
Notices and Conflicts of Interest
Reviewers are not allowed to make assessments that are influenced by conflicts of interest with authors or institutions associated with writing, regardless of whether these conflicts are caused by competition for jobs, cooperation, or other factors.
Author's Obligations
Reporting Standard
Every author must use valid data, accurate reports, and an objective discussion of the submitted manuscript. Each article submitted must have adequate and relevant references with detailed description. Statements in writing that are intentionally invalid, inaccurate, and subjective are a form of unethical behaviors and are unacceptable.
Authenticity and Plagiarism
Each author is responsible for ensuring that the submitted manuscript's content is authentic. When quoting someone else's work, observations, or words, the author is also responsible for making sure that the quote is accurate.
Multiple, Repeat or Concurrent Publishing
The authors are not allowed to submit manuscripts that essentially describe the same research to more than one journal. Submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal at the same time constitutes unethical behavior and is unacceptable.
Source Acknowledgment
Acknowledgments of other people's sources or works must always be included in every manuscript. This is part of objectivity and appreciation. the author must cite the publication that is influential in determining the nature of the submitted work.
Writing Subject
Subjects should be limited to authors who made significant contributions to the conception, design, execution or interpretation of the reported study. All significant contributions must be listed as co-authors. If there are other people who take part in certain important aspects of the research project, they should be listed as contributors. All co-authors included in the paper must agree to submit it for publication and have reviewed and approved the final version.
Notices and Conflicts of Interest
All authors are required to include any conflict or other substantive conflicts that might impact their work in the manuscript. Similarly, every source of fundings for research projects must be disclosed.
Fundamental error in published works
If the authors discover significant errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in the article, they 8wyeyw8must immediately communicate with the editor or journal publisher, who collaborates with the reviewer, so that the work can be revised.
